The king needs to be defended against hostile attacks. Once he is captured, the game is over. Both the black and white kings come with a magnetic base. You can move both pieces with your magic wand. Point the wand straight at the king and, without touching it, move it in a magical way to a field of your choice on the chessboard. However, make sure that this field isn't guarded by an opposing figure.

The queens of your chess set come with a glowing effect located in their base. To activate this effect, switch the switch underneath the base to ON. Each time you pick up the queen from the chessboard, you'll see it glowing.

The bishops move diagonally on the chessboard and come with a unique special sound effect. Each time a bishop is defeated and knocked over, you'll hear a crashing sound. To activate this effect, switch the switch underneath the base to ON. When you knock over the bishop while defeating it, you'll hear that special noise.

These knights with special sound effects will turn you chess tournaments into even more exciting and dramatic events! Each time you make the knight's horses perform one of their spectacular corner jumps, they neigh mightily. To activate this effect, switch the switch underneath the base to ON. When you touch your knight, their horse emits an almighty neigh.

The rooks move horizontally and vertically on the chessboard, either forwards or backwards. The black and white rooks of this chess set have a magnetic base which enables you to move them with your magic wand. Point the wand close to the rook without touching it - and wow, slowly the tower starts to move!

These simple foot soldier start the attack, moving towards the opponent's lines. The pawns come with a fantastic explosive sound effect which makes defeating an opponent's piece even more dramatic. When a pawn has been defeated, you may press on his head and it'll fall apart. Piece your pawn together again by pressing both halves together.
